It works to preserve a single, open, secure and trustworthy internet, promoting accessibility standards, free software, freedom of public-interest information, human rights online, and the use of internet technology in education, science and the environment. Its activities include the DESCON event, the Klimerko citizen air quality measurement devices, and participation in internet governance forums such as the IGF and WSIS.
