About
Founded in 2008, JOBLINGE is a non-governmental organisation based in München, Germany working on employment & skills, education, children & youth +1 more.
JOBLINGE is a German non-profit initiative founded in 2008 that helps young people with difficult starting conditions find and complete apprenticeships. Its work combines three pillars: activating young people through the PLAN A campaign, placing them in apprenticeships through the six-month JOBLINGE programme with one-to-one mentoring, and supporting apprentices during training through basecamp learning centres. The initiative works with a network of over 4,000 companies, more than 50 public institutions and thousands of volunteer mentors. It operates around 30 locations across Germany, organised as non-profit stock corporations (gAGs) under a central umbrella organisation in Munich that acts as franchisor. Its stated approach emphasises measurable outcomes, transparency and publishing annual impact reports under the Social Reporting Standard. It also commissions studies on young people outside education and work and advocates for outcome-based public funding of school-to-work transitions. Reported funding is roughly 60% public money and 40% donations from companies and private individuals. The organisation reports placing around 80% of its programme participants in apprenticeships.
