Kartei der Not is a charitable foundation in the Augsburg region, founded in 1965 as the reader aid organisation of the Augsburger Allgemeine. It provides individual case aid to people in need through no fault of their own, and funds social projects in the region. Since 2016 it has run the Ellinor-Holland-Haus in Augsburg, a residential house for people in life crises, operated through the Ellinor-Holland-Haus gGmbH, and it supports the Haus Ellinor Holland group at the St. Clara children's home in Gundelfingen. Its work is funded mainly by donations and bequests, and its administrative costs are covered by the Mediengruppe Pressedruck, so donations go in full to aid. The foundation is overseen by a supervisory board (Kuratorium) and its aid applications are handled through its Augsburg office.
