About

Founded in 2001, Käte Ahlmann Stiftung is a foundation based in Hamburg, Germany working on gender equality, employment & skills.

The Käte Ahlmann Stiftung is a German foundation, established in 2001 by 18 women entrepreneurs together with ACO Severin Ahlmann GmbH & Co. KG and Dr. August Oetker KG, with support from the Verband deutscher Unternehmerinnen. It promotes vocational training and equal opportunities for women and men in business, with a focus on supporting women entrepreneurs in Germany. Its main offering is TWIN-TwoWomenWin, a volunteer mentoring programme that pairs women entrepreneurs in the existence-securing or growth phase with experienced businesswomen from other industries for one year. The foundation also organises seminars, TWINCamps, roundtables and regional Stammtisch meetings, including in Hamburg and Munich. Its supporting body, the Freundeskreis der Käte Ahlmann Stiftung e.V., was founded in 2008, is recognised as charitable, and funds foundation projects through annual membership fees and donations from around 200 members. The foundation was recognised as a legally capable foundation by the Bezirksregierung Arnsberg in 2003 and is a member of the Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen. Its office is in Hamburg.
