Stichting Kinderen van India is a Dutch foundation, recognised as an ANBI public-benefit institution, that supports children, widows and Christian workers in India. Founded in 1989 by John and Marja George, its main work is the Elisabeth Children's Home in Pendra Road, Chhattisgarh, which houses and educates children from very poor families, mainly girls, and provides meals, schooling, clothing and medical care. The foundation also runs a sponsorship programme, supports widows with a monthly allowance and monthly community days, and has supported theological training, church work and a multifunctional building in Bhilai. Its work is run from the Netherlands together with a team in India and is funded by individual gifts, sponsors and legacies.
