Kulturno društvo Međimurje Velenje (KDM Velenje) is a cultural association founded in 1997 by Međimurje natives living in Velenje, Slovenia. It preserves and promotes the customs, music, dance and cuisine of the Međimurje region through a folklore group, a tamburitza group, a theatre group and a culinary group. The association performs at local, regional and cross-border events in Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary, organises public events such as the Međimurska noć, the Međimursko proščeje and the Sabor hrvaške kulture, and publishes the newsletter Štrekar. Membership is open, and the association is funded by membership fees, public cultural funds, municipal grants, the Croatian embassy and sponsors.
