Founded in 1991, Látásért Alapítvány is a charity based in Budapest, Hungary working on health, poverty & hunger, refugees & migration.

Látásért Alapítvány is a Hungarian public-benefit foundation, founded in 1991 by the Magyar Optikus Ipartestület (Hungarian Optical Trade Guild) and refocused on charitable aims in 2016. It works to make eye examinations and corrective eyewear accessible to people who cannot afford glasses, particularly in poor and rural communities across Hungary. Its main initiative, the Esélyt a szemnek! (Chance for your eyes) programme, is run with partners such as the Új Start Alapítvány and combines donated lenses, frames and optical services from manufacturers, distributors and independent opticians. The foundation also runs the Csodás Jövő programme for kindergarten children, supports the Catholic Caritas medical mission, and has supplied glasses and optical equipment to Ukrainian refugees and other charitable organisations. It mobilises volunteers from the optical profession and collects used spectacle frames for redistribution. The foundation is registered as a public-benefit civil organisation and its activities are carried out primarily in Hungary.
