About
Founded in 1974, Lepramisszió Magyarország is a charity based in Budapest, Hungary working on health, disability, water & sanitation.
Lepramisszió Magyarország is a Hungarian Christian charity founded in 1974. It is the Hungarian member organisation of the International Leprosy Mission, the only Eastern European member of that network. It works to treat leprosy patients, rehabilitate them, restore their dignity and support their families and communities. It funds treatment, rehabilitation and education at leprosy hospitals and institutions abroad, including in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Myanmar and Bangladesh. In Hungary it raises awareness of leprosy, runs lectures in schools and churches, organises volunteer groups that make bandages and parcels, and holds fundraising events.
