Paris, France
About
Founded in 2015, Madame Rap is a non-profit association based in Paris, France working on gender equality, lgbtq+, arts & culture.
Madame Rap is a French media platform and association under the 1901 law, founded in Paris in August 2015. It amplifies the voices of female and LGBTQIA rappers worldwide. The platform publishes interviews, videos, infographics and podcasts, and maintains an online directory of artists listed alphabetically and by country, along with an interactive map. Its cultural, educational and social outreach aims to connect hip hop with women, LGBTQIA communities and audiences who might not otherwise engage with these issues, combining popular education with the pursuit of equality and inclusivity. It also runs calls for artists to join its directory and campaigns around events such as the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia.
