It coordinates sport in Hungarian higher education institutions, organises university sport competitions including the national MEFOB championships, supports student-athletes in combining elite sport with studies, promotes regular physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students, and represents Hungarian university sport in international events such as those run by FISU and EUSA. Its members include higher education institutions and university sports clubs, and it promotes equal opportunities for women and people with disabilities in sport.
