Maisons des femmes Restart, formerly La Maison des femmes, is a French association founded around the Maison des femmes de Saint-Denis. It runs a network of more than 30 Maisons in metropolitan and overseas France and in Belgium, offering multidisciplinary care that combines medical, psychological and social support for women victims of sexual and gender-based violence. The association also runs a residential centre for young women victims of violence in Paris, trains healthcare, police, fire service and education professionals, provides prevention and awareness work in schools and companies, conducts research on victims' experiences, and advocates with public authorities for better prevention and care. It is coordinated from Paris and funded through a mix of public subsidies, private donations, and corporate and foundation partnerships.
