About

Founded in 2007, Make Possible is a foundation based in Mosjøen, Norway working on children & youth, education, gender equality.

Make Possible is a Norwegian foundation that helps orphaned children in Africa gain a safe home, education and a better future. It runs and supports projects in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Malawi, including a children's home and family home, schools that offer free schooling and meals, and a women's self-help group for women affected by HIV/AIDS. Children are supported through a sponsorship (fadder) scheme in which Norwegian sponsors fund food, clothing, healthcare, schooling and housing, and the foundation also works to educate communities, particularly on girls' rights, against early marriage and female genital cutting among the Maasai. The foundation was established on 17 December 2007 and is governed by a board chaired by its founder. It reports that 100% of gifts from private individuals and organisations go to its purposes, with administration financed by advertising and sales income. It has no paid staff in Norway; all activity is carried out by volunteers. It is approved by Innsamlingskontrollen and is audited by ES Revisjon.
