The McDonalds Kinderhilfe Stiftung is a German non-profit foundation based in Munich that supports families of seriously ill children. It runs Ronald McDonald Häuser, family accommodation close to hospitals where families can stay together during a child's treatment, and Ronald McDonald Oasen, retreat spaces inside clinics for child patients and their relatives. The foundation is funded mainly by donations, largely from McDonalds Deutschland, its franchisees, suppliers and guests, and reports 2025 income of about €19.8 million. Activities include restaurant donation boxes, the annual charity gala, the SOLOCharity Race, legacy giving, sponsorships of rooms and apartments, and volunteering. Its supervisory body is the Regierung von Oberbayern, and it holds the DZI Spendensiegel. The foundation was founded in 1987 as part of the international Ronald McDonald House Charities network. It has announced that it will be known as Ronald McDonald Haus Deutschland from mid-2026.
