MEF du Grand Laonnois

Founded in 2007, MEF du Grand Laonnois is a non-profit association based in Laon, France working on employment & skills, children & youth.

The Maison de l'Emploi et de la Formation (MEF) du Pays du Grand Laonnois is an association under the French 1901 law, founded in 2007. It brings together public and private partners in the Laon employment area to design and deliver an action plan for employment and training. Its Mission Locale service supports young people aged 16 to 25 who are not in employment, education or training, offering personalised guidance towards sustainable work, training, and workplace integration. The MEF also supports adults, employees and employers, providing services such as career guidance, skills assessments, validation of work experience (VAE), recruitment support, HR advice and inclusion through social clauses in public contracts. It operates from Laon and runs services across the Pays du Grand Laonnois, including the Picardie des Châteaux, Portes de la Thiérache, Pays de la Serre, Champagne Picarde and Chemin des Dames areas, through local municipal and public service points. The organisation holds the national label of the Réseau des Missions Locales, awarded in 2024.
