Meridiem o.p.s. is a Czech public benefit company based in Říčany. It supports families and informal carers of seriously ill children, including children with autism spectrum disorder, and carers of people with Alzheimer's disease. Its services include free seminars for specific diagnoses, individual counselling, self-help groups, psychotherapeutic meetings and a legal and administrative service for grant applications. It also runs accredited training for social service workers on caring for people with Alzheimer's disease, self-care methodologies for senior care staff, and children's groups in Říčany. The organisation aims to increase the participation of fathers and men in childcare and care for close family members, and it seeks to strengthen its strategy, fundraising and communication. Most core services are provided free of charge, financed by EU funds, private donors and its own earned income in other areas.
