About
Mezipatra is a non-profit association based in Prague, Czech Republic working on lgbtq+, arts & culture.
Mezipatra is a queer film festival organised by the non-profit civic association Mezipatra z.s. in cooperation with STUD Brno. Each year it presents around a hundred Czech and international feature, short and documentary films with LGBTQ+ themes, judged in international competitions by juries, a student jury and the audience. The main festival takes place in Prague and Brno, with related events, or 'echoes', in other Czech towns. Alongside screenings it runs discussions, lectures, workshops, exhibitions and parties, and welcomes filmmakers and experts from abroad. The festival aims to bring world-class queer cinema to a broad and diverse audience, promote quality human-interest films and contribute to the emancipation of gender minorities in the Czech Republic. It is run largely by volunteers.
