Namasté Nepál is a Czech civic association founded in 2007 that supports people in Nepal through development, humanitarian, educational and cultural activities, and informs the Czech public about Nepal. Its main work is building earthquake-resistant schools in rural districts such as Kabhre, Sindhupalchok and Makwanpur, and sponsoring children from poor families so they can attend school. It also runs emergency relief after disasters including the 2015 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, supports the Rajbas rural hospital, and trains local masons in earthquake-resistant building. The association works with a Nepali partner foundation, DCWC, and sells Nepali handicrafts through a shop in the Czech Republic, with proceeds funding its projects in Nepal. Volunteers take part in school construction and other activities.
