The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR, also known as NAHR) is a local non-profit, non-governmental organisation established in June 2012. It works in Yemen to improve community participation in service provision, advocate for and monitor policies, promote women's and youth participation at local and national levels, and build the resilience of communities affected by natural disasters and armed conflict. Its programmes cover humanitarian protection and shelter, food security and livelihoods, water and sanitation, health and nutrition, education, governance and climate. It operates from offices in Aden, Marib and Sanaa and is guided by values of neutrality, impartiality, innovation, empowerment, learning, accountability and diversity.
