Oasis Domestic Abuse Service is a charity supporting adults, children and young people affected by domestic abuse in Kent and Medway. It provides accommodation, specialist counselling, court and hospital support, advice and advocacy, and educational programmes and mentoring. It also works to prevent domestic abuse through education, challenging harmful attitudes, and training professionals and the wider community. The service began in 1994 when a group of local people turned an old hotel in Margate into a safe haven for women and children fleeing abuse, and it now operates across East Kent, North Kent and Medway.
