Občanská poradna Plzeň is a generally beneficial society (o.p.s.) in Plzeň, Czech Republic, that has provided free, independent, non-partisan social counselling since 1998. Trained civic counsellors (not lawyers) help people with everyday legal and life situations, including debt and insolvency, housing and tenancy, employment, benefits, inheritance and property, family matters, and consumer complaints. Counselling is offered in person in Plzeň and at a branch in Dobřany, and by phone, email and online form. In 2024 the service recorded around 3,400 consultations and about 1,560 new users. The organisation is an accredited body of the Czech Ministry of Justice for debt-relief filings and a registered provider of social services. It also runs financial literacy lessons for students, seminars for seniors and public prevention activities. It is funded partly by the Plzeň Region and the City of Plzeň, and by donations. It does not provide legal representation, business advice or financial aid.
