The Observatorio de Derecho Informático Argentino (ODIA) is a non-profit civil association based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It promotes responsible digital citizenship and seeks to protect the rights of the community in the digital sphere. Its work includes strategic litigation on personal data protection, such as a collective amparo over data collected through the CUID.AR app during the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a court order for the deletion of the app's databases. It also monitors and challenges the use of facial recognition by the City of Buenos Aires government, requests public information from authorities, participates in privacy advocacy such as the 2022 census campaign to remove the national ID number from the questionnaire, and runs academic activity through a course at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
