Október 23. Alapítvány is a foundation based in Gyula, Hungary, that works to preserve the memory of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence and to foster historical awareness, particularly among young people. Founded in 2006, it organises commemorative events, ceremonies and wreath-laying in Gyula and Gyulavári, supports the 1956 memorial in the city, runs history competitions and photo contests for pupils, and maintains a digital archive of the work of M. Szabó András, Gyula's 1956 mayor. It works with the Gyula municipality, the POFOSZ association and the Mogyoróssy János Városi Könyvtár.
