The Ökumenisches Netz Bayern (ÖNB) is an ecumenical network of groups and individuals from all churches in Bavaria, formed in 1988 to give concrete form to the conciliar process for justice, peace and the preservation of creation. It acts as an information exchange, mediator between member groups and a mouthpiece for their concerns. Its work covers peace with nonviolent means, social and economic justice, climate and creation protection, and ecumenical dialogue. Activities include petitions, public statements, seminars, ecumenical assemblies, prayers and events, mainly in Bavaria. The network is a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft christlicher Kirchen in Bayern and KAIROS Europa, and takes part in Oikocredit. Its decisions are made at an annual members' assembly.
