The Országos Polgárőr Szövetség (OPSZ) is Hungary's national umbrella association of civil guard (polgárőr) organisations. Its volunteer members, organised in local associations and county federations, carry out community crime prevention, road and water safety patrols, and environmental and animal-welfare work. The federation runs thematic sections, including the Kutyás Szolgálati és Állatvédelmi Tagozat (dog service and animal welfare), the Lovas Környezetvédelmi és Természetvédelmi Tagozat (equestrian environment and nature protection), a motorised patrol section, a water patrol section, a drone and aerial reconnaissance section, and a youth section. It cooperates with the police, disaster management services, ambulance services and local governments, and runs the national TeSzedd! clean-up campaign. Its activities cover Hungary, and its headquarters is in Budapest.
