About
Founded in 2021, Our Children Learning is a non-governmental organisation based in Ytre Arna, Norway working on education, water & sanitation, health +4 more.
Our Children Learning is a non-profit organisation based in Bergen, Norway, founded in February 2021. It builds and runs schools and wells in Kokaga, a rural area of Chad, where it reports around 900 pupils across six schools and eleven wells providing clean water. The organisation has also built a health station, Annas helsestasjon, which opened in November 2025 and serves around 7,000 residents of the project area. Its work includes a sewing school and workshop for women and young mothers, a school library, and a project recording local oral histories in the Tunya language. The organisation aims to become financially independent by developing income-generating projects, such as school uniform production, so that local communities can take over operation and maintenance of facilities. It is funded by individual donors, including regular givers via Vipps, foundations, Rotary clubs and local businesses.
