About

Pastvina is a non-profit association based in Praha, Czech Republic working on animal welfare, environment & climate, community development +1 more.

Pastvina is a Czech non-profit association (spolek) that runs a sanctuary for animals in need and a community garden and farm in Vinoř, Prague 9. The sanctuary cares for roughly 300 rescued animals, including horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, geese, turkeys, rabbits, cats and dogs, many of them taken in from slaughter, neglect or unsuitable housing. The organisation also practises permaculture, plants orchards and vegetables, keeps bees, and runs a community-supported agriculture scheme. It offers visits, guided tours, evening thermal-imaging tours, workshops, school and scout programmes, and summer camps. People who are unemployed or experiencing homelessness, or who have mental health needs, are given roles on the site. Support comes mainly from virtual adoptions, donations and sales of farm produce, and donations are tax-deductible. Operations are based in the Prague area, and the site is in Czech.
