PGD Pobegi Čežarji

Founded in 1979, PGD Pobegi Čežarji is a non-profit association based in Pobegi, Slovenia working on community development, humanitarian aid & disaster relief, children & youth.

Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Pobegi-Čežarji is a volunteer fire and rescue association based in Pobegi, in the Municipality of Koper, Slovenia. Founded on 21 April 1979, it provides public fire protection and rescue services in its operational area of 16.30 km², which it classifies as a category II fire unit. Its work includes operational intervention, including forest fires, water rescue and flood response, along with preventive education with local schools, kindergartens and the municipality. It runs a youth fire club for children and organises youth activities, and it is a member of the Coastal Fire Association Koper. The association also collects donations and accepts the allocation of a share of personal income tax to support its activities.
