Planinsko društvo Iskra Ljubljana is a mountaineering association based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, founded in 1977 by workers of the Iskra Elektrozveze company. It is affiliated with the Slovenian Mountaineering Association (PZS). The association organises guided hiking and mountaineering tours open to a wider circle of mountain and nature enthusiasts, as well as expert excursions, lectures, clean-up actions, and winter and summer mountain camps. Its Mountain Nature Protection section promotes conservation of alpine natural values, educates visitors about sustainable behaviour on mountain trails, and supports protected areas and Natura 2000 regimes in line with Slovenian law and the Alpine Convention. Its Guide section brings together licensed PZS mountain guides. The association also runs membership programmes with family and youth discounts.
