Founded in 1904, Planinsko društvo Šoštanj is a non-profit association based in Šoštanj, Slovenia working on nature & wildlife conservation, children & youth, community development.

Planinsko društvo Šoštanj is a mountaineering association based in Šoštanj in the Šaleška valley of Slovenia. Founded as the Šaleška branch of the Slovenian Alpine Society in 1904, it marks and maintains hiking trails, runs hut and mountain-facility operations on Smrekovec and Slemen, and organises nature conservation hikes, educational programmes, training for trail markers and mountain guides, and a youth camp for schoolchildren. It also runs a mountaineering section, a youth section and a trail-guide section, and has more than 400 members. Its office is at Koroška cesta 13 in Šoštanj.
