Pretty Horses Rescue

Founded in 2007, Pretty Horses Rescue is a non-governmental organisation based in Rosarito, Mexico working on animal welfare.

Pretty Horses Rescue is a nonprofit organisation based on a ranch in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. It rescues, rehabilitates and re-trains horses in northern Baja California that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered, with the aim of putting each animal's individual needs first. The organisation has been active since 2007 and states that over 100 horses have been rescued and rehabilitated, with many adopted to permanent homes and others living at the sanctuary. The ranch also offers reservation-only riding packages, farm tours and riding lessons, and proceeds from these and from fundraising events such as chili cook-offs, raffles, silent auctions and concerts support the ranch's expansion, maintenance and care of its animals. The organisation also shares its rescue horses for therapy with local children, orphanages, a human trafficking support group and a special needs school. It also states that it has rescued and cares for other animals, including dogs and cats available for adoption.
