About
Founded in 1982, Prosper Meath is a charity based in Navan, Ireland working on disability, environment & climate.
Prosper Meath is a not-for-profit community organisation with charitable status, operated as a company limited by guarantee. It provides Day Services and personal and social supports to adults with an intellectual disability in County Meath, delivered from local centres in Navan, Trim, Kells and Ashbourne. Services are commissioned by the Health Service Executive through an annual Service Arrangement. The organisation traces its origins to Meath Sheltered Workshop, established in 1982 by a Parents and Friends body, and became known as Prosper Meath in December 2015 as part of the Prosper Group. Its work centres on person-centred planning, key working and supporting individuals to live the life they choose. Prosper Meath also runs sustainability and climate action projects through its Green Teams and operates in tandem with Prosper Fingal, which serves North County Dublin.
