Purple Pantry Boxes (PPB) is a volunteer-run, 501 non-profit organisation based in Milford, Connecticut. It operates 24/7 self-service food pantry boxes that provide shelf-stable food to anyone in need, with no ID or application required, and runs a home food delivery programme for neighbours facing barriers to access. The organisation also runs food drives, donation locations, fundraising events and talks to local groups about food insecurity. Its motto is 'Take what you need, donate what you can.' Founded in March 2020 with three plastic bins, it has grown to around 18 to 20 pantries across Milford, Bridgeport, West Haven, East Haven and Branford. Food rescue partnerships and local businesses supply much of its food, and it purchases food with funds raised.
