Its members are national, sectoral and inter-sectoral networks and initiatives, which the network reports as over 40 networks in around 20 countries. The network aims to share practices, support inter-cooperation and joint actions, and promote the visibility of the solidarity economy. It also seeks to contribute to legal frameworks and public policies, linking practitioners, researchers and policy makers. Its work includes a strategy framework, member mapping, a resource centre on socioeco.org, webinars, newsletters and advocacy on issues such as food sovereignty, care, housing, migration, climate justice and democratic participation. Its governing body is a General Assembly that meets two or three times a year, supported by a Coordination Committee. The network is based in Luxembourg and operates across Europe.
