ROCK YOUR LIFE! is a German non-profit limited company (gGmbH) founded in 2008 by students in Friedrichshafen. It works to promote educational equity and equal opportunities for young people from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Its core offering is free one-to-one mentoring for young people over one year, delivered by trained volunteer mentors who support them with school, career planning and personal development. The organisation also offers programmes for teachers and schools, coaching for teachers, mentor trainer education, and corporate volunteering and advisory services for companies. Its mentoring model has grown into a social franchise with more than 30 locations in Europe, and it has an online mentoring platform for youth across Germany. Its work is headquartered in Munich and is funded by federal and state bodies, foundations and donors. The organisation reports commissioning an ifo Institute study to evaluate its impact.
