Røst AiR is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary, artist-in-residence and artist-run association based on the mainland of Røst in the Lofoten archipelago, Northern Norway. It hosts visiting creative, performing and writing artists, singly or in groups, in a combined living and working space, and organises workshops, concerts, seminars and happenings. It is run voluntarily by a working group with support from Nordland County Council. Its work focuses on the ecological transition, post-fossil fuel alternatives, diversity, and solidarity with Gaza artists. It also works in solidarity with the Sea Sámi heritage of Røst and promotes green travel and a vegan-friendly, low-impact approach. Røst AiR is also active in documenting and supporting the seabird colonies of the nearby Nykan nature reserve.
