Sammen for livet

Sammen for livet is a social enterprise based in Larvik, Norway working on employment & skills, justice & legal aid.

Sammen for livet (SFL) is a Norwegian social enterprise that helps motivated people with criminal convictions, including inmates and former prisoners, into ordinary employment or education before and after release. Its approach matches each candidate to work based on their wishes, skills and circumstances, and includes career guidance, coaching, help with debt management and benefits applications, and follow-up of the employee for three years after hiring. It works with employers, the correctional service and NAV, and states that it charges no placement fee. The company is registered in Norway's voluntary organisations register, cannot distribute dividends, and is wholly owned by the Sammen for livet foundation. It is funded by public and foundation grants and donations. Its offices are in Larvik (Vestfold) and Oslo. Since June 2016, 268 candidates have entered the project, and the organisation reports that 95% of those who have been in the project for a period have found work.
