The Sandler Center Foundation is a non-profit based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, that works to advance children's education through the performing arts and to fund community arts organisations, including performances at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. It operates in three spaces: schools, a digital platform and the Sandler Center itself. Its main programmes include the Virtual Academy, The Excellence Project, outreach performances and artist receptions. The Foundation was established in 2005 and was the only philanthropic organisation tied to the public/private partnership that built the Sandler Center in 2007. It reports supporting Coastal Virginia arts and education with roughly 500,000 annually in direct and in-kind support, and says its Virtual Academy has served more than 60,000 children, teachers and families since 2021. Its main funding comes from donations, including gifts eligible for Virginia NAP tax credits.
