Savez općina i gradova FBiH

Founded in 2002, Savez općina i gradova FBiH is a non-profit network based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina working on democracy & civil society, community development, health.

The Association of Municipalities and Cities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SOGFBiH) is an independent association of voluntarily united municipalities and cities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded to develop local self-government and to promote and protect the common interests of its members. Its work includes advocating for local government in legislation and policy, including constitutional and fiscal reform, providing legal, financial and capacity-building services, training and seminars for members, and coordinating regional and international cooperation, including on EU integration. Its governing bodies include an Assembly, a Supervisory Board, commissions on subjects such as local self-government, economic development and finance, and spatial planning, and a professional service led by a director. The association is based in Sarajevo and has around 80 member municipalities and cities.
