Savoir Ivoire is a non-profit association founded on 4 April 2004 to support school and health development in Côte d'Ivoire. It funds and carries out building works in partner schools in Abidjan, including canteens, toilets, classrooms, libraries and play areas, and supplies books and school materials. It is based in Suippes (Marne), with a second base in Strasbourg (Alsace). The association sells African craft made by Ivorian artisans in France and reinvests the proceeds in its projects in Côte d'Ivoire. Its work covers around 11 partner schools and more than 4,100 pupils, and it is recognised by the Ivorian Ministry of National Education. Its activities are carried out largely through the presence of its president on site and through partnerships with corporate foundations, local Rotary and Kiwanis clubs and schools in France.
