SAZAS

Founded in 1993, SAZAS is a non-profit association based in Trzin, Slovenia working on arts & culture.

SAZAS is a not-for-profit collective management organisation in Slovenia, established in 1993 by Slovenian musical authors. It has operated under state authorisation from the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office since March 1998 to manage music authors' rights. It connects authors and composers with music users, collects royalties for public use of music in Slovenia, and distributes the collected royalties to authors and right holders. It manages rights for both members and non-members, enforces rights for foreign repertoire through reciprocal agreements, and maintains a database of more than 45 million protected musical works. It also provides documentation services for musical works and promotes authors' creativity. SAZAS is a full member of CISAC and a member of BIEM.
