School in a Bag is a UK registered charity based in Chilthorne Domer, Somerset, England. It distributes SchoolBags filled with educational resources to disadvantaged, disaster-affected and displaced children in countries around the world. Bags are either packed in the UK or sourced in-country, and each internationally shipped bag is numbered and trackable. The charity works with local partner organisations to distribute the bags. It grew out of the Piers Simon Appeal, set up in 2005 in memory of Piers Simon, who died in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and became a standalone charity in 2019.
