The Schwarzbachbahn e.V. is a non-profit association based in Lohsdorf near Hohnstein in Saxon Switzerland, Germany. It works to restore the former 750 mm narrow-gauge railway that ran between Kohlmühle and Hohnstein from 1897 to 1951, with the aim of reopening a section through the Schwarzbach valley. The association operates a heritage railway for the public, running steam and diesel trains on select dates, and holds events such as station festivals, Easter and Christmas outings. It maintains historic rolling stock, including steam locomotive 99 585, which it operates under a long-term loan from the Museumsbahn Schönheide e.V. The association is run largely by volunteers, has around 150 members, and was founded in 1995. Its charitable (gemeinnützig) status was confirmed by the Finanzamt Pirna in August 2024. Its work is based in Saxon Switzerland and the Dresden region.
