Secure AI Futures Lab

Founded in 2025, Secure AI Futures Lab is a think tank based in New Delhi, India working on science & research, education.

Secure AI Futures Lab is a research and capacity-building lab focused on trustworthy and safe AI in India and South Asia. It conducts technical research on AI governance, evaluations, red-teaming and the societal and economic impacts of AI, and runs fellowships and talent programmes for early- and mid-career people entering AI safety. It also operates Secure AI Hubs in New Delhi and Bengaluru, with Hyderabad and Chennai planned, offering co-working space, reading groups, hackathons and expert talks. The lab convenes government, academia and industry stakeholders, including through workshops at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. It was founded in September 2025 and grew out of earlier AI safety field-building work that began in India in 2022.
