SinemaTürk Filmzentrum e.V. is a non-profit association founded in 1989 by Turkish and German film enthusiasts in Munich. Its purpose is to present artistically and substantively high-quality films from and about Turkey to a broad public. Each year the association organises the Türkische Filmtage München, a film festival that has become an established part of Munich's cultural life. The festival focuses on Turkish cinema, including productions by artists of diverse ethnic backgrounds, looking at both historical works and contemporary productions. Its programme covers feature films, documentaries, short films, lectures, panel discussions, workshops and readings, and emphasises dialogue between invited filmmakers and audiences. The association advocates for women's and minority rights. It is a member of the umbrella body Filmstadt München e.V., and the festival is supported by the Kulturreferat of the City of Munich. The association is based in Munich, Germany.
