About

Founded in 2011, Sintrata is a non-profit association based in Ciudad de México, Mexico working on human rights, justice & legal aid, children & youth.

Sintrata A.C. is a Mexican civil association founded in 2011 as a student movement at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and constituted as a non-profit association in 2012. It works against human trafficking and modern slavery in Mexico and Latin America. Its work covers prevention, access to justice for victims, and social reintegration of survivors. It produces research and data science through its Sintrata Analytics intelligence centre to advise public and private sectors on policy, strategy and digital training. It also runs awareness and training campaigns, including a digital information campaign with Uber for drivers and couriers, and supports a citizen reporting mechanism with the Consejo Ciudadano para la Seguridad y Justicia de la Ciudad de México. The organisation states it receives no government funding and relies on donations from individuals and companies, along with research, consulting and training services provided to businesses. Donations are tax-deductible in Mexico following authorisation on 21 November 2014.
