Sisters of Code

Founded in 2019, Sisters of Code is a non-governmental organisation based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia working on education, gender equality, employment & skills.

Sisters of Code is a non-profit in Cambodia that runs free, skills-based coding and digital education programmes for girls and young women. It was launched in early 2019 as the country's first female coding club. Its after-school clubs, ambassador training and employment-skills courses aim to build technical, leadership and employability skills, challenge gender stereotypes and expand girls' and women's participation in the digital economy. Classes take place in person and online, with a campus at IT Academy STEP Cambodia in Phnom Penh, and the organisation reports activity in clubs across 19 provinces.
