About
SkiDUCK is a charity based in Reno, United States working on sport for development, children & youth.
SkiDUCK is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation based in Reno, Nevada. It teaches skiing and snowboarding to financially disadvantaged, minority and at-risk youth, with the aim of enriching their lives and giving them access to the mountains. Founded on the idea of Clint Lunde, who saw a gap in non-profit provision for underprivileged children reaching the slopes, the organisation relies entirely on volunteers, who help with equipment rentals, chaperone young people to and from ski areas, and support the skiing and snowboarding activities. The organisation also works with partners such as ski resorts and local community groups to establish or strengthen youth ski programmes, and accepts donations and corporate partnerships to support its work.
