Slovenská katolícka charita (SKCH) is the Catholic charity of Slovakia, based in Bratislava. It runs international development and humanitarian work in Uganda and Rwanda, focused on children, young people and poor families. Its work includes early childhood centres, a child care centre for children living with HIV, a vocational training workshop, health support for children with disabilities or illness, food aid, and farmer training. The charity funds much of this work through the annual Pôstna krabička (Lenten box) collection, which is distributed through parishes across Slovakia, and it recruits Slovak volunteers to work at its projects in Africa. Recent projects include a planned girls' dormitory in Adjumani, Uganda. The organisation reports collection results and project accounts publicly.
