Founded in 2018, SoliNiort is a non-profit association based in Niort, France working on poverty & hunger, community development, environment & climate.

SoliNiort is a French non-profit association founded in 2018 in Niort, initially by the Secours Catholique and the association L'Escale after they closed their own social grocery stores. It runs solidarity grocery shops that operate on a pay-what-you-can model: customers paying full price help fund reduced prices (30%, 50% or 70% off) for customers entitled to reductions based on their income. The shops are open to everyone without prior membership. The Cabas Solidaire in Niort and L'Épicerie du Val in the Haut Val de Sèvre, which includes a mobile grocery truck, offer a broad range of local, organic and quality products. The association also promotes participatory governance, with members and customers taking part in working groups that make decisions on communication, social support, shop management and community activities. Its work aims to improve access to dignified and sustainable food, reduce isolation and foster social inclusion. The association is recognised as serving the public interest and donations are eligible for tax deduction.
