The Stiftung Allianz für Entwicklung und Klima is a German public foundation founded in 2020 that connects sustainable development with global climate protection. It runs the Allianz für Entwicklung und Klima, a multi-stakeholder community of more than 1,600 companies, cities, educational institutions, associations and individuals. Supporters voluntarily offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions by funding high-quality climate protection projects in countries of the Global South, which aim to improve living conditions and strengthen climate outcomes. The foundation also publishes studies and standards on voluntary carbon markets and climate finance, provides training through its Academy, and offers educational materials, including a comic series for children, to schools. Its seat is in Frankfurt am Main and its office is in Berlin. It is recognised as charitable (gemeinnützig), and donations are tax-deductible. The foundation is funded by donations, federal government support and corporate partnerships.
